So its been ages since I have posted anything or updated this blog. To tell you the truth its been a little quiet on the art front. After the Dishonorable Discharge (DD) exhibition Ive been a little too busy to get in the studio. I have sold some older pices at my friends bars but nothing really new to talk about. The studio has been collecting junk and Im about to clean it out to have a busy simmer in there........ Well what can I say ...... The lovely people at " Love Freo " have put out a brilliant little book. Not only is it of top quality but this little beauty comes it at $10 Au...... Fuck this is about the cost of a pint of beer...... this shit is cheeeeeeeeap !!!!!

I went to the opening to support them and was stoked to find that they took a pic of one of my pieces and it got a full page. Was also happy to see Dave Wolf get a page spread........

I hate photos

I hate getting my photo taken. When I was younger it was a nightmare when Fotek would come to school. As I get older and fatter its the ever ending battle to suck in my gut and try to extend the neck and stop that little bastard better known as the double chin popping out.

But when my man P-Dizzle ( better known as Perry ) wanted to experiment with some photography concepts, I was happy to oblige. You can totally tell that Im getting my pout on more than 21 yr girl at a summer dance festival.............. peace

'MAD' Kelly Loves his Kombi

I have a good friend "MAD" Kelly who is obsessed with his Kombi. This guy once installed hard wood jarrah floorboards just for the fuck of it. Kelly told me that he decided to give the interior of the Kombi a Mexican Day of the Dead inspired renovation. This included chili string lights and two brilliant painted cupboard doors. The dude even started a tequila bar in the bloody Kombi.......... By the way Im really digging the 'Mary' piece.......

I went to checkout my mate Dave Wolfy's new show on Friday night. It was killer to see his new path that he is experimenting. You can still see that its got a distinctive Dave style, casual and unpretentious. He is also playing around with some new colour schemes which really reminded me of summer. Girls that Skate

There are a few things that really get my knees all wobbly. Drinking Captain Morgan Spice Rum usually gets the job done. There are also other things like girls that play guitar, girls that wear metal shirts & chicks who surf. Actually there are shitloads more but your getting the picture........... Well I can across this picture and it nearly bowled me over. When I was a little grommet I was never a gifted skater. I was more into sucking bongs, surfing and masturbating.......... But if there were more girls like this into skating when I was younger I think I would have spent more time practicing kickflips and truck grinds..

My mate Dave Wolfy aka Dave Mislead is having a new show. Not only is Dave a top bloke and always greeting people with one of his characteristic big smiles and laughs, but he is also one talented dude. So with the slight change in name Dave is also exploring some different styles. Im really excited and looking forward to seeing what he comes up with. Ray Gun

Im not a massive fan of steampunk. I generally think that its only for hipster douches that are trying to be " oh soooo arty and individual". I lay the blame for this resurgent in douchness at the feet of Will Smith and that poor arse excuse for a movie Wild Wild West.

But this cat may now be changing his tune. I stumbled onto a fairly cool example of steampunk sculptures that made me reconsider my view on the sub culture. These cool steampunk raygun's were found in the new gallery at lick clothing in Fremantle. they remind me of Flash Gordan and the like. If I was going to walk into any Cantina on Tatooine I want to be brandishing one of these suckers !!

Meggs

So I stumbled across these awesome clips that were made about Meggs. Not only does he produce killer work but he is also a really nice guy. In 2007 I was in Melbourn and was introduced to him in a club by some friends. Later that night I found myself running through the back allies of Fitzroy with Meggs doing some quick throw-up characters. These little docos are brilliant....... take the time and have a look at them

itchy jumpers suck !!

I used to hate knitted jumpers. you know the ones that your Nanna would make and ya Mum would force you to wear. The fucker would make you itch all over more than a nasty bout of crabs. But this little tree jumper that I saw on the corner of Wray Avenue and South Terrace in Freo is a little gem. Its dosent look itchy at all........ good timing to cos its starting to get cold..

So if your walking down South Beach in Fremantle in the late arvo you are bound to see a load of travelers/ vagabonds/ backpackers/ nomads. They are usually accompanied by vans of all different shapes and sizes. It gives me great joy in seeing how they like to personalize their mode of transport....... these are just a few of the ones that I have spotted.
